What to Expect at Your First Visit
Private, 1:1 evaluation — we look at posture, breath/pressure strategy, core, hips, and (with your consent) your pelvic floor. We factor in your birth story (vaginal or C-section), tearing, and how old baby is.
Relief today — gentle hands-on work, scar care strategies, and 1–2 targeted exercises you can start right away (even in the newborn phase).
Your postpartum plan — visit frequency, realistic home program, and milestones for returning to lifting, running, Pilates, or intimacy.
FAQs
-
Not always. We can start with education, positioning, breathing, and scar care right away. Once you’re medically cleared, we can do a full pelvic floor exam and progress exercise as indicated.
-
Yes. Pregnancy affects your pelvic floor and core no matter the mode of delivery. Scar tissue, tightness, and changes in how your core fires can all show up after a C-section — pelvic floor PT helps improve scar mobility, restore core support, and get you back to lifting and exercise safely and comfortably.
-
It’s common, but you don’t have to live with it. Leaking is your body asking for more support or coordination — PT addresses that.
-
Georgia: You can start with us without a referral. After 21 days or 8 visits, GA law requires us to have one, but we’ll help you get it.
Colorado: No referral is required to start or continue care. If your insurance asks for one for reimbursement, we’ll help you get it. -
We’re out-of-network and provide a superbill you can submit for potential reimbursement. HSA/FSA is accepted for eligible services.

No. It is never “too late” for pelvic floor PT. We regularly see women months, years, and even a decade after birth for leaking, prolapse symptoms, painful sex, or core weakness. Your body can still learn better strategies, build strength, and feel more supported.
