Childbirth Education
Private Childbirth Education— for You and Your Partner
A calm, confident birth starts with preparation that’s personal. Our childbirth session is taught by a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is also a CAPPA-certified childbirth educator, so you’ll learn labor, delivery, and postpartum through a pelvic-floor lens. Instead of a big, one-size-fits-all class, you’ll get coaching that reflects your body, your provider, and your birth setting.
What makes our class different
Private & individualized — tailored to your goals, trimester, medical history, and comfort level.
Partner-inclusive — your support person learns exactly what to do (positions, counter-pressure, when to rest/move).
Pelvic-floor informed — learn how to prepare the pelvic floor, minimize tearing, and support an easier postpartum recovery.
Hands-on skill building — we don’t just talk; you’ll practice labor positions, pushing strategies, and comfort measures together.
Third-trimester planning – birth preferences, hospital vs. birth center logistics, packing & timing
Contractions, labor & comfort measures – breathwork, positions, counter-pressure, heat/cold, tools (ball, rebozo, peanut)
Labor progression, pushing & birth – how labor typically unfolds, when to move/rest, pelvic-floor-friendly pushing options
Recovery & feeding baby – the first 24–48 hours, perineal care, early lactation set-up
Breastfeeding basics – latch, positioning, troubleshooting common challenges
Cesarean birth – what to expect, anesthesia, partner roles, early recovery
Care for baby – soothing, diapering, safe sleep, realistic rhythms
Postpartum expectations for Mom – bleeding, pelvic floor healing, core support, when to seek help
You’ll leave with a simple action plan, a partner “cheat sheet,” and confidence in the skills you’ve practiced together!
