Frequently Asked Questions
-
Pelvic floor physical therapy helps treat symptoms related to your pelvic floor muscles—like leakage, pelvic pain, painful sex, prolapse symptoms, and core/diastasis recti issues. At Revelle, your PT will assess how your pelvic floor works with breathing, core, hips, and movement patterns—then create a plan that may include hands-on treatment, targeted exercises, and clear guidance for daily life and return to exercise.
-
In Colorado, you do not need a referral to start physical therapy. If your plan requires one for reimbursement, we can help you figure that out.
-
We’re an out-of-network practice. Many clients still get reimbursed through out-of-network benefits, and we provide a superbill for submission.
-
Yes—HSA/FSA is welcome.
-
Yes. Pelvic pain and painful sex (dyspareunia) are two of the most common reasons women come to Revelle. We’ll look at the full picture—pelvic floor muscle tension or weakness, breathing + core coordination, hip/back mobility, and daily habits that can contribute to symptoms. Treatment may include hands-on work when appropriate, targeted exercises, and clear guidance so you feel more comfortable in your body again.
-
Yes. Internal exams can give us the most accurate information about pelvic floor muscle coordination, strength, and tension—so we can create the best plan for you. They’re always optional and only done with your consent. If performed, we’ll explain each step, check in throughout, and go at your pace. We can also absolutely make progress without an internal exam.
-
We’ll start with a full conversation about symptoms + goals, then assess movement, breathing, core + pelvic floor coordination, mobility, and strength. Internal exams are optional and only done with your consent.
-
Absolutely. We know childcare isn’t always possible—especially early postpartum. You’re welcome to bring your baby, and we’ll tailor the session to meet you where you are that day.
